To collect and preserve the material
of the local history of Crawford County Indiana; to secure
and document the recollections of those who have helped build the County and its
communities; to promote the study of Crawford County history; to mark historical
sites; to stimulate public interest in the vital and historical facts of
Crawford County’s
past and present.

First Familes of Crawford County project:
The CCHGS is putting together a "First
Families of Crawford County" book for our upcoming bicentennial.
If you have ancestral roots in the county dating back to 1840 or earlier,
we request you fill out the document below and send it in to the county
historian (address on form).
Any photos or family stories are also welcomed.
